Give a little ▪ change a lot.
Half the world's citizens (three billion people) struggle to live on less than $2 a day. This affects their nutrition, health, and their ability to send their children to school. It also affects the social and political stability of our planet. Women, many raising children alone, make up 70 percent of the world's poorest.

In 2000, the nations of the world agreed to work toward eight Millennium Development Goals to eliminate extreme poverty and hunger by 2015. FINCA takes that challenge seriously. So we launched the Village Banking Campaign to:

  • Create 100,000 Village Banks in the world's most destitute neighborhoods.
  • Reach one million of the world's working poor by 2010 with loans and financial services they couldn't otherwise obtain.
  • Open Village Banking programs in countries where FINCA's services are needed most.
  • Inspire thousands of people like you to join us in promoting a proven and effective solution to poverty.
