GE Money

GE Money, the consumer finance business of General Electric, is the world’s largest retailer finance program provider, delivering fast, dependable financial solutions to consumers, businesses and merchants.

GE Money's expertise in financial services dates back more than 75 years when the GE Credit Corporation was formed to finance the purchase of home appliances in the U.S. during the Great Depression.  Today, more than 130 million customers in 55 countries around the world turn to GE Money for their everyday financial solutions.

In February 2007, GE Money became FINCA's newest major corporate partner.  As a result, GE Money and FINCA are now working to develop a multifaceted relationship that encompasses philanthropy, marketing and branding, product development and delivery, and staff volunteerism.

GE Money believes that all dreams should have the chance to become reality, and through this partnership GE Money and FINCA will help fulfill the dreams of many. As an initial step in the partnership, GE Money has provided FINCA with a $1.5 million grant to support the Village Banking Campaign's goals of reaching 1 million poor microentrepreneurs through 100,000 Village Banks by 2010, while raising awareness of the power of microfinance to end poverty.  Most importantly for FINCA, in 2008, GE Money's financial support helped launch FINCA Jordan.

In the years to come, FINCA plans to dramatically expand its geographic footprint and to broaden the range of services that it offers, and GE Money will be standing behind FINCA to help make it happen.
